More panos

Most of them were shot with 9 frame exposure bracketing, stitched in full high dynamic range, and tonemapped afterwards to display nicely on your monitor. To learn more about the process, check out chapter 6 of the HDRI Handbook. Some panoramas are also available for download in the sIBL Archive.
Each thumbnail opens a pano in full resolution (8000x4000).
Fullscreen mode looks best, and bring some time to explore them...

Helipad Night
Downtown LA
On the rooftop of the Marriot Hotel, shot as a matte painting for Brothers & Sisters. These are the days when work is fun, and gets me around...
-
Helipad Golden Hour
Downtown LA
This one is actually much bigger than the rest. 220 images (9er brackets), stitched and merged into an 18k EXR.
-
Papermill Ruins
Halle-Saale
I remember the day when this olf factory burned down, more than ten years ago. Now it's all abandoned, and nature has reclaimed it. Surreal place, like straight out of a video game.
-
Factory Catwalk
Huntington Beach
This is an old DWP power plant, now exclusively used as showdown movie location. You've seen this place in Terminator 3, Transformers 2, and tons of other action flicks.
-
Pine Tree
Arches NP
One of the few walk-through arches. It has some beautiful texture, and right underneath there is this golden bounce light. Hint: Zoom all the way out and spin the camera!
-
Scenic Drive A
Grand Canyon
It was raining just the other day, and so the opposite rim is still in clouds. Make sure to zoom in all the way to get at least a slight sense of scale. Absolutely otherworldly.
-
Lookout Point
Monument Valley
Probably THE most stereotypical cowboy scenery. Technically it's not even US territory, because it belongs to the last of the Navajos. How ironic.
-
Sunset Monumentalis
Monument Valley
Dusk is a pretty colorful event out here, dominated by red and more red. If you turn around you'll see Sven in star shooter pose.
-
Footprint Court
Man's Chinese
The courtyard is paved with footprints of actors and directors. The empty spot in the center is where the ticket booth used to be...
-
Zumiez Couch
Etnies' Goofy VS Regular Cup
This annual cup is one of the biggest events for a skater, aside from the X-Games (which is really just a show for the mainstream). Best trick contest on Zumiez Couch...
-
8-Stair Kickflip
Günni at the STI Skatelab
Sole Technologies HQ, a surreal place where new shoe designs for Etnies and éS are tested. They use the latest technology, like this medical motion capture stage.
-
Sipapu Bridge
Natural Bridges NP
Daniel chills in the sun (behind). The Sipapu Bridge makes the difference between a "Bridge" and an "Arch" very clear. One is flat on top, the other is round.
-
The Wall
Arches NP
It's the gateway to a loong loop hike through the magical lands of Arches Nationalpark. Really gets you in the mood. Don't look at this when you're claustrophobic!
-
Serpentine
Valley of the Gods
You'll have to zoom in to really appreciate the sight. Standing on this natural ridge I had the strong feeling of getting hit in the head with "Extreme Geography".
